Nagarjuna's golden hand

The film industry is one place where one makes it easily towards name, fame and recognition if there is a godfather in the circuit. Sometimes, a gentle push from a senior star or even the presence of the person changes the whole story. One such person who seems to be ruling the roost when it comes to films, their performances and results is none other than Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna.
He encouraged Ramgopal Varma initially who ended up becoming a don in Bollywood, now he seems to be keen on encouraging Lawrence and he is growing up as a leading director from a mere choreographer background. Such is the power of Nag which when challenged can break mighty rocks.
At the same time if Nag dislikes or curses anyone at any moment, that person faces troubles and tensions it seems. This sentiment is spreading in Tollywood now with a director who faced the reprimands of Nagarjuna a few months ago with some personal issue and is now facing severe financial troubles. So sentimentally, if one gets Nag's blessings he will be the one with peace else he is gone.

Rajamouli slap to heros

Gone are the days when heroes take their time and establish themselves as a star of one particular genre. These days it is not about what you can do best, it is about what can make you famous and convert you into a celebrity overnight. That is what making many stars opting for mass characters, while some click, some fail despite many attempts.
A similar view was expressed by the successive hits film maker S S Rajamouli, sharing his thoughts with a film magazine recently in an interview he said that heroes craving for mass images have actually brought down the standards in the Telugu film industry.
This comes across as a rather enlightening words coming from a senior personality and true to S S words, the quality of the dialogues has become more of slang than a sentence. The kind of regard that the Malayalam and the Bengali industries have developed over the years is commendable and it is rather shameful that Telugu is not in that league despite having the best infrastructure and the right kind of talent to nurture quality cinema.

Baladur not fit for RaviTeja

'Crazy Star' Ravi Teja is all set to arrive with his new film 'Baladoor' which is hitting the screens on the 14th of this month. Though the title sounds pure mass it is heard from inside sources that the film is actually a proper family entertainer with enough doses of sentiment and melodrama in it. Ravi Teja will also be seen doing a very sober role and that too on a family backdrop.
Already there is a talk generating that it is not Ravi Teja's cup of tea and inside sources feel that as it is pakka family and film opening stands will be good but the film's success ratio is a bit on the uneven scale. However, there are few plus points like the music by Radhakrishnan and most importantly, the presence of the voluptuous beauty Anushka.
Together, both Ravi Teja and Anushka did 'Vikramarkudu' which turned out to be a major hit now it remains to be seen whether the pair can create the same magic for 'Baladoor' too.
